China Airlines Donates Aircraft Cabin Facilities
To Help Build Elementary School English Village

March 27, 2009, Taipei, Taiwan – To help provide an entertaining and useful learning environment for students, and to fulfill its corporate social responsibilities, China Airlines has donated cabin facilities to help WuFu elementary school in Kaohsiung County build an ‘airport theme’ classroom. In the new classroom named English Village, students can learn English in a fun and rewarding environment that simulates the pleasures of flying.

“As a corporate member of society, China Airlines spares no effort to encourage public welfare and social charity, which is all the more important during the worldwide economic downturn,” said China Airlines President Mr. Sun Huang-Hsiang. “As always, China Airlines is fully committed to fulfilling our corporate social responsibilities, and we will continue to donate to charity as we always have.”

To help to build a simulated aircraft environment, China Airlines has donated cabin equipment, including economy class seats from a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, a toilet model from a B747-400, and two meal carts, along with oxygen masks and life vests. CAL has also provided simulated boarding passes and air tickets, along with crewmember uniforms.
