Come Closer For An Insight Of China Airlines

China Airlines Adds New Flights from Kaohsiung

July 19, 2004, Taipei, Taiwan – As an ongoing effort to better serve its cherished clients in southern Taiwan, China Airlines will add three weekly flights from Kaohsiung to Kuala Lumpur, one weekly flight from Kaohsiung to Singapore and three weekly charter flights from Kaohsiung to Sapporo starting from August 1.

After the frequency increase, CAL’s Kaohsiung – Kuala Lumpur route will have five flights per week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The Kaohsiung – Singapore route will have four flights per week, every Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. From August 1, China Airlines will provide about double the original capacity.

Due to the strong market demand of Taiwanese tourists, China Airlines will inaugurate regular Kaohsiung – Sapporo chartered flights every Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, also on August 1. CAL began operating Hokkaido charter services in 1998, with more than 200 flights per year. It now provides a seasonal daily charter flight to Hokkaido during the summer.

In 1971, CAL launched international services from Kaohsiung, and it now flies from Kaohsiung to Hong Kong, Manila, Bangkok, Phuket, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Jakarta, plus charters to Japan. In addition, CAL cooperates with Vietnam Airlines on Kaohsiung – Ho Chi Minh City. China Airlines is the largest carrier on Kaohsiung international services with 35% of market share.
