* The required mileage for UO & HX free ticket award is calculated on two-point basis. If an itinerary includes a stopover or transit, the mileage required must be added together. Example: A passenger flies from Chin Chuan Kang to Hong Kong, than transit to Beijing on Economy class round trip ticket. Assuming that neither flight involves blackout dates, it needs 40,000 miles for a round-trip ticket between Chin Chuan Kang and Hong Kong, and another 40,000 miles for a round trip ticket between Hong Kong to Beijing, therefore, the total mileage required for such journey from Chin Chuan Kang and Beijing via Hong Kong would be 80,000 miles. | ♦ Redemption Procedure | | 1. | According to specified mileage required, DFP members are entitled to one way or round trip free ticket awards for traveling on self-operated, scheduled Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Express Airways flights of some specific regions under the designated code ''HX'' & ''UO'' . DFP members should make sure they have sufficient mileage for redeeming ''HX'' & ''UO'' free tickets. | | 2. | When requesting free ticket awards, DFP members must confirm their reservations in advance by calling CI reservation center and inform that they are requesting HX or UO free award travel. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the reservation and denial of ticket issuance for their awards. | | 3. | Members may proceed to CI downtown ticketing office for award ticket issuing before HX's or UO¡¦s ticket time limit. Airport counters do not issue award tickets. | Points to Note
| | 1. | Ticket holders are responsible for all applicable taxes and any other fee to free award tickets. | | 2. | Award travels are subject to special limitations on seating availability on applicable flights operated by HX and UO. | | 3. | Each award ticket is valid for one year from the date of issuance. The full journey must be completed within the validity period. | | 4. | The endorsement of the free award tickets of HX or UO flight to any other carriers requested by DFP members will not be permitted. The passenger name on the free award ticket may not be changed once the award ticket is issued. | | 5. | After the issuance of a free award ticket, the flight may be changed for a different date.
